HOW DOES REIKI HEALING WORK
Reiki practitioners act as a vessel between you and the universal life force energy. The energy flowers from the practitioner’s hands to the client.
WHAT HAPPENS IN A REIKI SESSION
A reiki session is about 60 minutes in duration. During a session, a client will lie down on a massage table, fully dressed, as the reiki healer gently places their hands, palms down, or just above the body in specific energy locations. They use a variety of 12 to 15 different hand positions.
The length of time that a practitioner leaves their hands, in each position, is based on the flow of energy through their hands at each location. There is no pressure, massage, or manipulation involved in therapy.
A client may experience the energy in the form of sensations, including heat, tingling, or pulsing, where the Reiki healer has placed their hands. Some clients may experience these sensations move through the body, while other clients may not perceive any change at all.
A majority of client will feel very relaxed during a reiki session, and some clients may fall asleep during the process.
