Ellery Zwiers, LLMSW
I consider it a privilege to work with individuals that are actively seeking change. I understand that it is uncomfortable to discuss intimate life topics with a stranger, and believe that trust building is essential to the growth of a client. As a therapist, it is my top priority to provide a safe and welcoming space where you will feel respected, supported, and heard.
I believe therapy needs to be collaborative and am always looking for client input on what is working and why. I am more than happy to evaluate if something is not working and making appropriate adjustments to best fit the needs of the client. My style is warm, relaxed, and caring. I practice from an integrated treatment approach, paced to fit the goals and readiness of each individual. There are no problems too big, too small, or too uncomfortable to bring to session. It is my hope that therapy will provide you a safe space to explore emotions with guidance and an unbiased perspective. The goal is to build confidence and skills so that clients are equipped to manage life circumstances independently. I love seeing the growth in my clients and being involved in creating realistic and sustainable ways to continue growing.
I work with adolescents and adults and specialize in treating anxiety, depression, trauma and relationship stressors. I earned my Master of Social Work from Grand Valley State University and have worked as a therapist in school, community and outpatient settings since 2021.
